Why Military Units & Veterans Trust Custom Patch Smith
Military patches represent more than a design — they can identify a unit, commemorate an achievement, recognize service, or showcase a shared mission. That’s why accuracy, durability, and attention to detail matter. Your patch should maintain its appearance through everyday wear, training, field conditions, and long-term use.
At Custom Patch Smith, we create custom patches for military units, veteran organizations, ROTC programs, VFW posts, collectors, and military-inspired projects. Choose from embroidered, PVC, woven, leather, and printed patches, with Velcro, sew-on, or iron-on backing options to suit your needs.
Whether you need a small batch of morale patches or a large order of unit patches, we provide the same attention to detail throughout the process. Every design can be reviewed through a free digital mockup before production, helping ensure your patch looks exactly the way you want.

They're legit!!
They're legit!!! I saw the reviews and asked ChatGPT before ordering. My patches arrived on time and a few were messed up. I sent 1 email with pictures and they mailed me more than I said were unusable. I'll be back for more! Good quality!

My Custom Patch Smith Experience
I have nothing but great things to say about this company, they make the greatest patch work I've seen. They are trust worthy and I have not once messaged them that they haven't messaged me back that same day or early the next. This is how every company should treat its customers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most frequent questions answers
A: Yes, if you provide the official unit crest, DUI reference, or TIOH approval. We will not invent or modify authorized heraldry, but we will reproduce your official unit insignia in subdued, full-color, or PVC. Send a clear reference image or your unit's heraldic description and our design team matches it exactly in the mockup, which comes back in 12 to 24 hours.
A: We offer velcro (hook-side for uniform loop fields), sew-on, and iron-on. Velcro is the most popular for military applications because it allows easy swap between uniforms and gear.
A: Absolutely. We work with VFW posts, American Legion chapters, veteran motorcycle clubs, memorial runs, and Gold Star events. Whether it's a small commemorative run or a large event order, we handle it with care.
A: Yes to all three. PVC handles 3D layering that embroidered thread cannot match — the base is about 2.5 mm thick and each raised layer adds roughly 0.5 mm, up to five layers. Glow-in-the-dark fill is available on both PVC and embroidered patches. We also offer reflective grey (3M Scotchlite-grade) elements. To be precise about what that is: it is standard retro-reflective material that lights up under a torch or headlights — it is not IR-reflective or low-IR-signature material, which is a different night-vision specification we do not offer. Reverse-field flags, blood type tabs, and unit callsign patches all work well in PVC for field durability, since molded rubber does not fray at the edges the way stitched thread can.
A: No, there is no minimum order quantity required. You can order as few or as many patches as you need. Volume discounts apply at 50, 100, 200, and 500+ pieces. The more you order, the lower the per-patch price.
A: In most cases yes, and we will tell you straight if we cannot. Standard production is 7 to 10 business days after you approve the mockup, plus transit. Rush production is available on qualifying orders in as soon as 2 to 3 business days, for an additional 25% of the order subtotal with a $50 minimum. Put your wheels-up date in the order notes and we confirm a firm ship date by email, typically within 2 business hours. If we cannot meet your date we say so before you pay, and if a confirmed rush date is missed the rush fee is refunded.
