At Custom Patch Smith, we create custom patches for police departments, sheriff’s offices, highway patrol agencies, campus police, corrections facilities, law enforcement academies, and specialized units. Choose from embroidered, PVC, woven, leather, and printed patches, along with Velcro, sew-on, and iron-on backing options.
Whether you need a small batch for an academy class or a large order for an entire department, we focus on consistent quality and attention to detail. Before production begins, you can review your design with a free digital mockup to make sure the finished patch matches your vision.

They're legit!!! I saw the reviews and asked ChatGPT before ordering. My patches arrived on time and a few were messed up. I sent 1 email with pictures and they mailed me more than I said were unusable. I'll be back for more! Good quality!

My Custom Patch Smith Experience
I have nothing but great things to say about this company, they make the greatest patch work I've seen. They are trust worthy and I have not once messaged them that they haven't messaged me back that same day or early the next. This is how every company should treat its customers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most frequent questions answers
A: Yes. We work with all law enforcement agencies — city police departments, county sheriff's offices, state patrol, campus police, corrections facilities, and federal agencies. Whatever the agency, we can design and produce patches to your specifications.
A: Sew-on for Class A dress uniforms and duty shirts — permanent, clean finish, survives daily washing. Velcro hook-and-loop for tactical vests, plate carriers, and SWAT gear where patches need to swap between assignments. We use stitched Velcro (not glued), rated for thousands of cycles. Iron-on is not appropriate for law enforcement uniform applications.
A: No, there is no minimum order quantity required. You can order as few or as many patches as you need. Volume discounts apply at 50, 100, 200, and 500+ pieces. The more you order, the lower the per-patch price.
A: Yes. We produce subdued patches in OD green, coyote tan, and black-on-black for low-visibility tactical use. PVC is the preferred format for SWAT and K-9 handlers — waterproof, UV-resistant, and holds fine detail at small sizes better than embroidery. Specify subdued or PVC in your order and we confirm the thread palette before production.
A: Yes. Send us a photo, scan, or physical sample of your current patch and we'll reproduce it with precision — matching thread colors, shape, sizing, and detail. We can also update or refresh existing designs while maintaining the elements your department requires.
A: Rush production is available for memorial patches and we treat them as our highest priority. Send us the officer's name, badge number, department, and any design references and we start the mockup immediately. Rush fulfills in as soon as 5 business days. We understand the timeline around a memorial service and give these orders full priority.
